Awesome, spectacular and mind blowing. Without a doubt the episode 5 was the best episode of this season. Never in my wildest dreams did I think we would get a Cliff's Notes version of Rossue's story, Locke finding and turning the Time wheel, Charlotte dying, and Desmond and members of the Oceanic Six reuniting at Ms. Hawking's church... ALL IN THE SAME EPISODE. I loved it.

The Return of the Smokey and Christian shepard aka Jacob. Wow!!! Apparently, Temple is the "lair" for Smokey, which makes it interesting that this is the place Ben told his people to go as "the last safe place on the Island". The only thing which I didn't understand was how are they going to explain Daniel rossue's lack of recognition of Jin in Seasons 1-4 ? Jin not only met her some 20 years back but also disappeared in front of her, that should have made an impact on her, right? I mean how often do you see people disappearing from front of you?

Well, LOST is getting better with each episode. I pity those who quit watching LOST midway because of it being slow. LOST is now paying back to all its loyal and faithfull fans for sticking around till now. This is television at its best :D

Well TBH i didn't like this episode that much. It had flaws. Read Russo. They actually ruined that part of the story.

Also i for one feel that they(Writers) are using time travel as they please.

Ohh btw. The numbers were back. Well kindda. They(French guys) picked up the same signal.

This was a good episode..Lots of action and finally the outside island story was not boring as usual..

Charlotte saying that old man told her never to come back, was touching part of the episode..

Lastly, it didnt make you stretch your memory to the small incidents that would have occurred seasons ago, and anyone who saw LOST just for fun, was repaid well..

That man was none other than Faraday. Which means that in the future episodes we will see faraday going back in time and interacting with charlotte. This again proves that no matter what you do, you CANNOT change the past or the future. But then again this rule doesn't apply to desmond which means that maybe charlotte and Locke will return back from dead with the help of desmond changing the past.

I know that mate..They said it out LOUD in the same scene..Jus telling that it was a touching moment, ones we dont usually see in LOST..And thats what made this EP special.

%&^$:@ :@ .... The RSS feed picked up a really slow torrent in utorrent..because of which the the download was damn slow.... Couldn't complete the download yesterday night......
Will have to wait another night for the download to complete..... Can't wait to see this episode....
:(

Wow the last episode was great !!!! I mean they put in more content in one episode than what most other series have in complete seasons!!!!

The writers are on an question answering spree..... Every episode they are constantly answering all the question we had and putting just a few more to keep us interested......

Has anyone noted, an intresting thing which the makers of this show have kept in mind, The characters in blood relation or child to grownup transitions look really close.
Checkout Faradays mom in the last episode, her eyes are just like him.
Checkout Ruso's daughter Alexandra in season 3.
The young Ben episode.
The similarity between Penelope and Charles Widmore.
Hurley actually ressembles his mom.

Now this is a feat, which shows the kind of detail and planning these people went through in casting the characters. More importantly, the best thing is the entire cast is just fabulous. I dont remember seeing any of them in any movie prior to the LOST series..

This show is like solving a rubic's cube, its beyond the usuall, it challenges you, these complexities keep the viewer intregued, at times I almost feel sorry for myself and curse my average memory span, but at the same time I give due credit for the writers who created this show -- 'for the smarter race'. They had trust in giving the audience something which tests their senses.

I am proud to experience - LOST. This will be one of a kind.

I didnt quite read any of the posts in this thread.

Just wanna ask, is Season 5 even worth the effort. I found season 4 pretty sad.

Yes season 5 is better much more action packed..The time travel part is a bit of drag at times, but some important parts of the story are revealed in those..So if you've seen the whole series and can remember parts, then you'l enjoy a lot..

You are absolutely right about the show challenging the viewer part. But in this day and age of the internet, one doesn't need to be very smart or have a great memory to Experience LOST. The world wide web is loaded with LOST centric content. All you need is a little reading and patience to get started. There so many crazy theories out there that its truly mind boggling. Infact I enjoy analyzing and disecting each and every episode more then watching the episode itself. This truly is one of a kind show and even I am proud to have experienced it. :)

My suggestion would be that you don't bother. Each and every episode of LOST from Season 3 onwards has been truly exceptional, especially the season 4 where we saw the Flash forwards of the Oceanic Six. If you found Season 4 "pretty sad", chances are that you are pretty much gonna hate season 5 as well. Not because it is any less in terms of awesomeness but because it is now meant for hardcore LOST fans only. The show has become so crazy and complicated that it would go over the head of any casual viewer. You need to have thorough knowledge of all the seasons thus far to understand what exactly is happening in season 5. So if you are just a casual watcher I would suggest to stay away from it as you probably wouldn't get what the hell is going on.

Season 5 is the best season so far (and mind you .. I can safely say this based on the 5 episodes that have come out till now)....
But season 4 wasn't so bad..... So if you found season 4 sad then I do not think you are gonna like season 5 much .......because season 5 is pretty much the expansion of the foundation laid in season 4......

But I would like to ask you what is it that you didn't like in Season 4..... I wouldn't have asked this question if you had said that you found season 2 sad.. As much as it hurts to say this (being a DIE HARD Lost fan) ....season 2 was a bit slow....... But season 4 was really fast paced in major part of the season......

Anyway I would suggest you watch the first episode of season 5 if you like that then you will pretty much like all the remaining episodes.. If not ..then I think you are not a Lost kinda guy .....

Season 2 was a bit of a let down... but I liked 3, 4 and 5. Season 5 is proving to be the best.

Yeah it is, actually goes to show that though the time travel in heroes wasnt that great, time travel itself was not the problem with the series, it never became a pain..
What was missing was character development..
Like hiro going in the past to get the catalyst and loosing it to aurther petrelli would have made sense if they would have built up and dramatized that part, maybe a bit of a fight from Hiro..bu tit all happened in a jiffy..almost like they were short on budget, both money and time.:@
So the problem essentially was not in time travel..

In lost, it makes sense, but in between it got boring..In one flash Charlotte faints and then next few flashes she's hail and hearty.. and then suddenly dies..
the story at that time wasn't compelling..
Lost may be complicated but its not gripping..The story is brilliant, but nothing that actually makes you want to watch it..
You arent on the edge of your seat thing whats next, whats next. There isnt that zeal or the eagerness to watch it..while even now heroes, terminator, prison break are almost addictive..
You have to stretch your mind back to the first season to actually even understand simple things that are happening..A good story/ serial is where you apply less brain and enjoy more..

All of this my POV..So no flaming.

You said it. The mere fact that you find the current seasons of "Heroes" and "Prison break" more addictive then LOST makes me not want to argue with you. There is just no point. :P

Yup..like i said its a decent watch, and i can probably give your reviews and forecasts a tough competition because understanding it is not the problem..its the entertainment value..

I mean heroes and prison break as a whole..

Even lost was crap for season 2 and 3, then?
Why jump the gun on heroes and prisonbreak?
