I agree with Jack being in the past but not Locke. Locke according to me is in the same timeline with Jack...

^You scared me for a moment :ashamed: Its just a special episode, I guess they are just going to show everything which they have answered by the end of season 5.

Ahhh ... my bad I did not notice 2007, hence the exclusive answers (which are part of the episode) for S05 will be aired on a TBD date.

Episode 8 Reactions

WOW!!! I was so blown away by this episode. By far the coolest episode for me this season. After weeks of having a TON of mythology, storyline twists, and puzzling revelations - this week was a nice little episode focused on CHARACTERS, just like in Season One. I never imagined that La fleur will actually turn out to be sawyer, it sounds like a girlish name to me. :P Also I totally loved the face-off between Alpert and Dharma. For a moment I thought that this incident ( Breaking of Truce ) was responsible for the purge.

Checkout the next episode's preview :

# Looks like my prediction was right afterall with a little mistake .... SAYID

# So looks like Sayid's is in 1974 too and not just that, he has also turned hostile :O Most probably he was recruited by Richard Alpert or maybe I am completely wrong and he just stumbles upon the Dharma camp.

# Also now I am more sure then ever that Sun, Locke, Ben and the rest of the Ajira airways passengers are in 2008.

# Who is the baby that Juliet delivered this episode? Born in 1977, it would be someone aged 27 on the show. I'm racking my brain thinking of characters that apply, but no major characters are coming to mind.

# Alpert knew Sawyer in 1974. As I was wondering in the episode previews, what are the reprecussions of this once 2004 rolls around?

# Also where have Rose / Bernard / Vincent disappeared? :S Where have they been for the past three years? :S

# The Statue. Did some Search. It looks an awful lot like "Taueret" , protectors of the pregnant women in egyptian mythology.

# Another thought that comes to mind is that is it possible that our survivors were actually responsible for the Purge? If they were, what happened to them? Were they killed? Did they disappear ? What exactly happened? Maybe faraday finds a way to get all of them back to the future i.e 2008. My mind is blown, all hail LOST.

P.S : No LOST for another 2 weeks. :( Sucks, I know. :|

^What research? About the statue? Its all over the blogs and LOST websites, its the new topic of discussion for Losties :D

No reason. American studios just like to take breaks between TV episodes, I guess. Happens with every TV show. Even Fringe is on a 1/2 week break I think.

Just when it was getting really awesome.. wait will be too much to handle !

apparently, reading lost-forum.com counts as research

When did I ever say anything about any research? I said "I searched". You do understand the difference between the two, don't you? I do not post here to gain any recognition, I do it because I like reading the viewpoints of other fans. Many of the points I post are copied from LOST dedicated forums and blogs. There are countless LOST theories on the net, I post those which I find the most logical. Whats the harm in it if the message gets across? Instead of posting lame comments, we would appreciate if you actually discussed LOST. WE DON'T need trollers in this thread.

P.S : Next time, I won't be so polite.

Bluffy. My bad. I read it as research :ashamed:

Also i still don't agree with you with the theory of Locke and Jack in different timezones. So far by the looks of it the oceanic six are the same time zone. Well logically they have to be as in the last episode the rest of the passengers saw people disappearing from the plane as everything turned white. Later we came to know that Sun and the pilot left the island.

Logically Sun should have disappeared like the rest but she didn't hence either they are all stuck in the same time zone or sun never left with the pilot. It just can't be both.

Good episode... Poor Sawyer ... Right when he says he is over Kate she turns up.... Sawyer-Michelle is a good pair ... Kate's a b**ch (an incredibly hot b**ch though ... :P)
And yes I think they are in different timezones because of the crashed plane being shown on a runaway that wasn't built until the 2003... Also I don't think the Hydra island would have been an uninhabited island in 1970s.... From the look of how the survivors are roaming about it doesn't seem like there are any Dharma workers on that island.....
But then again its LOST ... Don't know what they will come up with ......
2 weeks!!!!!
Why?? As if a waiting for a week between episodes wasn't enuff... Now a 2 week wait!!!!
Didn't they say there wud be 17 episodes each of the 2 final seasons without any breaks :( .......

Genius writers? I really doubt that. Lost have a million plotholes running around everywhere in series, i believe they just put up random stuff in between and make references to it in future. Definitely not a well thought up story, i am quite sure they were never expecting current season turns while writing for season 1. Show is very entertaining none the less ( spare season 2 and 3 ).

Poor? He's the luckiest one to get with all hot girls on the Island. Jack is the unlucky one I'd think :P

btw, Kate is sporting kinda Tomb Raider looks.

Yeah obviously they coudn't have thought out what going to happen this season ... When they were writing for the first season they weren't even sure whether the show wud exist for the next season .... They might have had a general direction of where they wanted to lead the show but the details are worked out as they move along ....Also till season 2 they did not have any idea how long the show wud go on .. so they were just showing stuff to keep the show moving somehow... Somewhere in the middle of season 3 they fixed an end date for the show and after that things have been tight in the storyline.....

Also right now the writers have just finished writing the finale of this season .... They just write a few episodes ahead ...

The genius of the writers does not lie just in how they tie up the lil things they showed on the way but how they lead the show from a normal survivor story to a complete sci-fi drama .... :hap2: I wud never have guessed that LOST was going to be abt Time-travel while I was watching the season 1,2 and a major part of season 3.....
