Hey guys....Please suggest me some phones within 4k and within 5k range. Actually I've a budget of 4k, but I may extend it to 5k if I can arrange the money. So suggest me in both the ranges accordingly.

My requirements are:

1. I want to be "always on" - so GPRS + EDGE is a must

2. Camera - Anything decent would do for just P&S clicking(2MP would be gr8)

3. Music - Here also anything decent would be gr8. Speakers should be louder. 3.5mm jack would be a add

4. 3G - if possible.

5. Memory card support - anything upto 2GB or so will do.

Well......I've set my mind for Nokia 2730 Classic suggested by Dark Angel.

But I want to know my other options too.

One more thing I should mention....please don't suggest lesser known brands such as Micromax, Airfone etc. I'll only go for known brands such as Nokia(1st preference), Samsung, Sony Erricsson(2nd Preference), Motorola, LG etc.(3rd Preference).

But guys please suggest in both the ranges i.e. within 4k and within 5k.

Another query.....How is those lesser known brands?? I mean Airfone, Micromax etc?? Can those be trusted???

Actually I'll be buying this phone after 5yrs. My Dad won't buy me another one say for next 3-5yrs. So I want something good.

Ok as per my budget and as Dark Angel said I've now set my mind to Nokia 2730c. :)

Though the 3G is upto 384kbps :( But there is no such good 3G plans in Kolkata. BSNL charge too much.

Well.....may be I'll be changing the phone in 1-2yr if I get good salaried job :)

3G tariffs will come down once private players enter the market in the near future.

If you are not going to get a new phone for next 3-5 years, I would suggest getting a phone that has 3G.

Hey guys........suggest another phone within 3k, my friend needs one. His requirements is mobile internet, anything other would be addon for him.

And what about mine?? Should I go for Nokia 2730c?? Or anything other you'd like to suggest??

Hi guys, please suggest the best all round phone in around 15k.
Its for my cousin and he can extend the budget to 18k only if its worth it.
He was thinking of E72 but mails are not a priority so any other good phones in the range are also good. Good camera, sound quality, wi-fi, 3G, Gps etc would be gr8.
Please suggest.

That goes way above budget....max is 18k.....
Some more suggestions please? N79 seems good but is way outdated now,
looking for something stylish as well as value for money...

I heard something like E72 is not as good as E71. For your requirement, I would suggest these:

1) Samsung Spica (android, 3.2" capacitive touch): 12k-13k
2) Nokia 5800XM (Symbian, 3.2" resistive touch): 13k-13.5k
3) BlackBerry 8900 (BB 5, 2.8", qwerty): 17k-18k
4) SE W995 : 17k-18k
5) Nokia E71 : 13k-14.5k
6) Samsung Jet: 13k approx (but Java based TouchWiz UI)

@Nolasco : a brand new htc hero costs 14~15k in ghaffar market. Checked a week back, so I think it is within your budget. Maybe you are confusing it with HTC legend which is close to 24k

is that one with warranty? coz last time I checked in bangalore, it was close to 21k.

Noooo
Ghaffar market is a place for imported handsets. There is no warranty on stuff bought there, but HTC quality is awesome and most probably warranty won't even be needed :)

look for Motorola Milestone. terrific android phone with full qwerty slider (sideways). check in ebay. you can get this one around 25k. market price is around 28k if I am right.

strictly, inside 25k, check

1) Samsung B7610 Omnia Pro (hell of a business phone)
2) HTC Legend (stunningly beautiful design and build)
