just started here. wish i had bought a dslr. anyway i hope to improve in the coming months or years.







all photos taken without flash. Flash is too powerfull even after reducing the power :S exif data still intact in all photos. more of the stuff at my flickr photostream.

is it advisable to get a pro account on FLickr?

ediit: original photos were in widescreen format and around 3500 pixels wide. had to resize them for web
 
With the second, a slower exposure on a tripod would have done the trick.

As for the 3rd, its a great attempt, but re-shooting in Sepia and overprocessing the highlights and midtones would really give it that vintage feel you see in magazines. Pass me the RAW file, I'll show you what I meant.

^^3 horizontal and vertical lines appear on your camera screen making a grid of 9 squares... easier to place objects and get horizontal orientation :)
 
@Keane- nice pics man...

@vijaycool - IMO -

#1 the bud tip is the same colour as the flower behind it - so it loses its emphasis of being the subject of the picture.

#2 is a bit too cluttered (too many flowers of the same colour too close to each other)

#3 Love it - very nice pic :)
