The Samsung Google Galaxy Nexus Thread.

So, I got my Galaxy Nexus i9250 yesterday. It is factory unlocked (imported from Saudi Arabia).

It is running on ICS 4.0.2. When I check for software update, it says it is up to date.

How can I update to Jelly Bean?

No local warranty because it is not sold officially in India.

Plenty of screen guard and cases available on ebay .in.

Ok. Now I am on Jelly Bean 4.1.1. :D

Now, I need to buy a case for it. I am buying an Amzer.

Guys, I need your opinion. I have 3 options of buying Amzer case:

1. eBay.in
2. amzer.co.in
3. Infibeam.com

Any guess who will deliver it fastest?

I have 2 options of Amzer:

Amzer® Luxe Argyle High Gloss TPU Soft Gel Skin Case - Smoke Grey (I am using it with my S2 and it is of very good quality but looks ok, not very good).

OR

Amzer® Silicone Skin Jelly Case - Black

To me 2nd one looks better but will it be as good as the first one (quality)?

Please suggest so that I can place the order right away. Thanks.

Go with the TPU case rather than the silicon one,TPU cases provide you better protection than normal silicon gel cases
Plus TPU cases won't rub against the phone's body and fit in easily

I seem to have less signal bars on my Galaxy Nexus. On SGS2, I see 4 bars always. I see 2-3 bars on Galaxy Nexus. Do I need to change the radio or something?

Please see the attached screenshot for my current firmware/radio/baseband.

Everything seems to be fine with the radio you have, have you activated 3G ??
Who's ur service provider ??

There was no poblems. I had not inserted my primary Vodafone Sim in GN and inserted a spare Airtel Sim. I thought Airtel network is equally good. But last evening I swapped both the sims and voida, I got full signals in GN and less signals in SGS2.

So, both the phones are perfect, only Airtel in my area is weak.
