+1. I was also apprehensive about the deal since White ones tend to get discolored but went through it 'coz of the discounted price. Now I am happy to have the sexy black controller with superb quality & precision.. :)

^^^^.... You guys are forgetting the price one has to pay for those limited edition controllers... this one is just 1.1k shipped... :)
 
X360 controller + PC - Queries

Guys some question regarding x360 controller...

1. How to turn off the ring of light ...the quarter ring looks ugly....either it should be full or nothing

2. How to turn off rumble completely irrespective of the game

3. should the index finger be on the rt and lt button and for rs and ls OR

the middle finger on lt rt and the index finger on rs and ls

1. I don't think that's possible. It is to indicate which controller you are.

2. I don't think there's any global settings for rumble. You'll have to do it in game.

3. Whatever feels comfortable to you. I keep my index finger on LS/RS and middle finger on LT/RT. That way it's faster to access either of the buttons. I think most people use it this way, but it all depends on each person's choice.

P.S. - This is for PC right? Coz for Xbox360 there is a global option to disable rumble.

1) Cant do that

2) Press the Big X button and Set Vibration OFF there.. I did so.. No Vib for any game

3) Its upto you

can u guys suggest some games to get started with..

is there any application like the typing tutor for the gamepad

the only game i find playable is nfs hot pursuit...

tried AC II...the gameplay is damn better with a gamepad....esp the combat

but still i fumble with the buttons...needs a lot of practicing

thanks to mod for making this a thread...will help a lot of x360 gamepad newbies

^Dude, you are making it seem harder than it actually is. Just pick up any game like AC, Batman AA which are suited for gamepads. Hell, most games nowadays work very well with the 360 controller. You'll learn it as you progress in the game.

First of all stop thinking so much,just play and have fun.There's no need of any tutor and i don't think typing tutor will help playing better anyway.All games besides shooters will be easier on controllers even if you're just starting.

Besides games already mentioned I recommend:-
Prince of Persia Forgotten Sands
Darksiders
Dirt 3
Street Fighter 4(its a little hard to pull off the moves)

but i want to learn it faster...

as i almost have 15-20 games to finish...in 3 weeks period

and this is my last vacation(i mean to play games)

hahahaha, i ordered a white controller from homeshp18 and received a black one instead.... all for Rs. 1116....lol.....AM so happy
 
^^ the price has dropped

its gonna get much cheaper i think will be available 800-900 bucks in 2-3 months

as the price has dropped from 25$ to 17$
 
Me too got the black one from homeshop18.It works great on almost all games,but the quarter light thing is irritating.
