For cm7, I suggest Temasek's build on xda developers, since the official builds get rarely updated and temasek's build has many useful cherry picks.

I have made Tit Backup of Stock Application after installing CM7 i am unable to find to restore. I am badly in need of "Poloris Office". Is there a way to restore ?

I hope you have the Titanium Folder in your internal storage or sd-card, after you had installed CM7, install Titanium backup software and go to Preferences --> Backup folder location and browse to the titanium folder.

I use "Office Suite 6" for viewing the docs but you need the Pro version to edit them..

you are welcome sirji the main thing that i was impressed with MIUI is it's customizations, you can check XDA forums for them -- themes, lock-screens etc..

and as rhlravi's said, I have used the below roms and all his points are damn true

Stock based ROM: Full functionality, average performance, below par customizability, good battery life
Cyanogenmod 7: Nearly full functionality, excellent performance, good customizability, very good stability, good battery life
MIUI: Decent performance, decent battery life, excellent customizability (looks awesome, has most themes)
Cyanogenmod 9: ~90 percent functionality, below par battery life, good customizability, fresh ICS look and feel, good performance

I am quite happy with MIUI-2.4.20, Shall i try CM9 Owain's build ?

If you want to try out ICS, flash Owain's build. Create a nandroid backup of your MIUI ROM first in case you dont like it (unlikely!). If you can live with the few shortcomings that it has (lesser battery life, no 1080p video recording or playback), then it is awesome.

I am unable to connect SD Card to my Laptop, If i mount Notebook is asking Drivers. With Stock ROM and able to connect after installing LG Drivers. Now, with MIUI ROM i am facing the problem. Any tip to resolve

hmmm have not faced such issues.... when I insert the usb cable, it asks for Mount Storage or Charge Only in my phone and when i say Mount Storage the sd card and the internal storage get displayed both in XP and Win7...

are you able to connect the SD card separtely i.e. card reader or card slot

I am currently running miui 2.4.20 ...need to return to stock rom since need to visit service center.
Can anyone help me identifying the technique...have read about smart flash...super confused about which baseband and rom file to use ? Assistance needed.
As per MIUI my current baseband is 20110725 ...

First, download the Indian firmware from here:

FIRMWARE

Then, follow this guide to flash it:
FLASHING GUIDE

I guess you already have the original baseband your phone came with, so no need to worry about that. But if calls etc. dont work, flash the 725 BB too.

sometimes 1 or 2 out of 10 times I get my phone hung when connecting the USB but rest of the time it works well (I am running Win XP and Win7)

sorry mate i have no suggestions/solution here for you as i am not facing this issue. trying enabling/disabling USB debubging = sorry for this bugging reply:bleh:

only solution would be to use a card reader to copy/move your data..

I have downloaded the 20h firmware ...but confused about the flashing thing mentioned in second link ? Can you please enlighten...

No, that is something completely unrelated and it's for application developers, and that too it's for Linux, not Android (although Android is based on Linux, this won't help)

I keep toggling ROMs. I went from stock LG-> CM7-> CM9-> Stock Djangomanouche-> CM7-> CM9
About MIUI for ICS, then i suppose Wajk's ICS ROM is a slightly modded one of CM9 only?
ICS ROMs have improved a bit since I last used them, so i may stay with CM9 for some time (Nova HD), then again switch to CM7. 1 ROM for a month and then a switch means I wont get bored of one and experience the fun of both
