if u have a high end PC..... means 2GB ram 512 MB gfx memory.... VISTA rocks..... other than than Win XP is GOD....

i guess there must have been a messup in bios..... try this.... first of all reset ur bios to default..... install windows...... --> most imp...... as u said there was a problem while defrag. u will have to re-assign disk size.... it is an intermediate stage in install process...... this shall...

all that Vista brought..... Mac OS did it much before.......

it really does not mater which shop u buy frm..... the stuff basically comes frm same supplier...... just make sure u ask then where to contact in care of faulty device.... most shopkeepers accept 7 day replacement policy.....
