Today, BSNL karnataka came with such a plan 4200/6 month, but only difference is 6 GB/month instead of 30 GB :P
Its abt time ,they have to add zeros in the usage field and remove zeros from the price field :)

BTW, its good for me atleast :) :P

The experience was not that great, i was able to make a video call from UMG1831 (with Mobile Partner) to Nokia E series device( probably E71).

But Mobile partner stopped responding when i tried to disconnect the call.

A upgraded Mobile partner might improve the experience, i would recommend you to try it on a Xp system and post reviews.
I am on Win 7, today I am able to make video call using Mobile partner. Like you said, this is not a stable application. I suffered from a Blue screen.

My main account validity expired tonight, so did a topup of 110 from bsnl portal and got 3 months validity instead of the usual 30 days :D

same here got myself another EVDO but speeds are low at 1 MBps..what connection (wireless) to go for now ?
The reason maybe because of the number of EVDO users around your locality. Speeds are very much dependent on that.

Guys i had asked earlier about the windows 7 related USB patch which is required to be installed in WIN 7 machines so that we can avoid disconnections or something like that. I was told that if i connect my Nokia phone (i have C5) it will prompt me to install that patch but i did not get any such message :(

Please let me know as to from where i can install this patch, some sort of online link.

Or is there a possibility that the patch is already there in my machine and if yes then how do i verify ??

^^I had applied that USB patch few months ago and it didnt have any effect on disconnection problems as the disconnections are mostly due to network congestion or network related problems.

All Evdo users should try the external antenna
It makes a hell of a difference
Get the pigtail from local market which will not be available i am sure
so get it from ebay.com
Go to BSNl office and try to get a Patch antenna by paying money or any means
it works awesome
was using it some time back
it will get an improvement of 20-30% or even 40-50%
If not available get a yagi or patch antenna from dealextreme for $12-15
If you dont find a good 1900 MHz antenna dont worry get a 2.4GHz antenna
they will do the work
very little difference it makes
like
$15.80 - 2.4GHz 16dBi Directional High Gain 16-Unit Antenna for Wifi/Wireless Network (RP-SMA) - Networking
$12.26 - 2.4GHz 15~18dBi Directional High Gain 13-Unit Antenna for Wifi/Wireless Network (N Female) - Networking
or
$13.60 - 1710~2170Mhz 12dBi Directional High Gain 7-Unit Antenna for 3G Wireless Network (SMA Female) - Networking
And for all those who think 2.4GHz will not make any difference please read/google before commenting

Hi,

I used bsnl 3g from two weeks before. The speed is very good, as well as i had nokia 5800. I used "bsnlnet" APN in UMTS mode.

But from yesterday evening, i tried to connect my mobile through pc suite. Afterwards i try to connect the web in mobile, it says "unable to connect". I tried to rectify this, but i can't. I tried most of the ways, reset my phone and download fresh APN. But still doesn't work.

I call the customer care, but he said that, the network itself problem in your area. But i connected 3g in last week with no problem in last week.

I can't identify where is the problem.

^ Same issue for me. Reached Chennai yesterday and tried to connect.

Error 619 : A Connection to remote computer cannot be established.

That's what mobile partner shows. :-(
