no, I did not get anything free with taht !

and that offer has ended by now, I saw the banner, there was no offer name mentioned as far I remember

The same sim was working fine in Cochin. Anyway my friend too is facing the same issue. We both have sufficient balance and validity.

No idea why. And its not even registering to 2G. Maybe some issue in my area.

It doesn't connect via MDMA too.

Definetely there is the problem, my house is in Tambaram, the 3g internet connection is completely lost here, But the phone signal is too good(may be full bar). But in my office(mandaveli-20 kms from here) 3g internet works fine.

So the network is faulty. But i wrongly identified the problem is in my phone, and i reset my phone yesterday. SO sad!!!!

guys, few quick questions :

- is the ipad 991/999 charge truly unlimited?
- if no, what is the limit?
- do i need a new sim for this or can i recharge using an existing sim card?

i need to recharge to 3g pretty soon, so any help would be great

^ Just checked and its working!

1. According to the CSC in Cochin, the 999 plan is truly UL. But there was a member from Chennai at IndiaBroadband.net forum who said it has a 15/10 GB limit.

2. Yes you need a new iPad SIM for it, existing SIM won't work.

I am not able to connect to BSNL 3G using standard windows dialer and not even through CiDial but only working through Mobile partner. I had faced this earlier but that was another machine, another OS.

It stops at the verifying password screen and then immediately disconnects and again attempts to reconnect but does not connect.

Any idea why something like this happen ??

I always give some random values in id and password as they are anyways irrelevant.

Further to my above issue i found few more things. May be this will help you guys to pinpoint the actual problem.

If i keep the setting as follows where under connection type is RAS Modem (no clue what this is)
PS: In below screenshot assume the connection type is set to RAS Modem

And when i try connecting to internet using mobile partner i get error as

vr4qab.jpg

But when in the same settings, it is NDIS (i dont know this either) it works fine and you see that the error message is same as what i get when i use normal windows dialer.

So now anyone can tell me what the issue is ??
Due this this automatic dialing not working, i am not able to keep my computer ON full night / when going to office to continue torrent downloading.

NDIS ON or selected means whenever you connect the modem it automatically connects internet or auto dials

generally it has 2 settings

one as i said full connect modem auto dial and connect

second is dial when you want and connect by using windows dialer also available

^^So any what am i supposed to do to remove this error 31 when using standard windows dialer ?? :S
You have enabled NDIS mode

No dialer will work now except the software from which you have enabled NDIS

Its in auto mode , auto dial

It has disabled dialer profiles

Disable NDIS from everywhere

I dont have this GUI so cannot pinpoint correctly

^^But you see when NDIS mode is enabled in mobile partner it works and when RAS(Modem) is enabled it does not.

You saying that this mobile partner software has caused this and sort of blocked all other dialer apps from dialing the 3G connection.

Will removing mobile partner entirely and using only the default windows dialer or CiDial solve this ?

Btw i dont understand what "auto mode, auto dial" is and if it any ways means that after a disconnection it will automatically dial the connection then it does not do so.

Btw can you give some headsup on how to disable NDIS everywhere ?

Btw i never (or only once) faced this issue on windows XP os and even last weekend when i installed windows 7 and then started using BSNL 3G, this cidial worked absolutely fine but then suddenly went broke. :(
