\\no issues , like a normal evdo modem . I generally use it for its WIFI function . Dont have to attach it to PC . Switch it on , keep it some place in good signal area and it use evdo wirelessly on my laptop in other room
EVDO out then use my airtel 3g sim again by wifi to do my stuff . So both cdma and gsm available , max 5 devices supported through wifi so its okay
no programming required as verizon Indian GSM partner are Voda and airtel . APN is inbuilt no mods/programming requiredhow you programmed airtel 3g sim for wifi access.
thanks kuduku.
It supports both EVDO esn based and GSM SIM card based . Both are not active together . Either you use EVDO or GSM . Main usage is its a WIFI router (MIFI) so 5 devices can connect easily . Its WIFI g but indian speed will always be less so doesnt matter . You can connect through usb cable or WIFI mode . WIFI mode can be configured from 192.168.0.1 , same as router web based GUI\\
kuduku
Correct me if am wrong, but you are saying this modem supports both, GSM & CDMA sim. I can use cdma for some time, then remove it put GSM sim in and use the same.Is it compatible with both CDMA & GSM.
If it is boy, i am interested and will start looking for one.
How much did you pay for the same what were the damages and where did you procure it from ?
I will post pics but ZTE AC30 is EVDO esn based and not RUIM based . Same like 595U . Got it from ebay.comkuduku
Wow, i am really interested, looking for pics of the antenna now, so are you using the BSNL EVDO sim in this or have you configured your evdo settings on the modem itself, just the way we did on 595u.
Also if you can post the link of the seller or place you bought from, i can look at picking up the same.
Thanks
They have fixed that loophole!
If you are asking then atleast tell whether your modem is esn based or esn and a locked RUIM slot or RUIM only . Saves the google for us and if you would had googled this is in first 5 searchesHello guys,
reading last few pages of this thread has really got me interested in EVDO. I think it might be a good option for me knowing that not many people in my area even know about EVDO option for internet access.
my question is for cisco_tech or kuduku or anyone else who could help me out.
I already have a ZTE AC8710 CDMA modem which I got back in 2009 with reliance broadband+,
1. Can I use this modem for BSNL EVDO?
2. If yes, how do I set it up or unlock it?
3. what I need to do to get it ready before I take it to BSNL office to get it registered.
I'll probably check speeds on this modem before I go after the famous 595u.
I mentioned cisco's name because I saw one of his post somewhere where he was talking about unlocking a ZTE AC 8710.
Any help will be highly appreciated
