Talk about raising aspersion where there aren't any. Yahoo! is the perfect place to chill out when I am bored, they are a live tabloid. Everything in lip-service is available. The AAJ TAK of websites.

P.S. -- And I have a mail account with these chaps, so everytime I land on Yahoo! India page I take up tips that will within a month (with a 10 minute exercise regime) make me Sushil Kumar =P. But I am too lazy and am mostly on TE so.

Problem with yahoo reporting is they dont have a measure of things.

"Pain at Pump"

True and thanks for the excellent read, 'PaP' funniest abbreviation read in a long-long time.

Another Rs 5 hike. WTF!!! :scared14:

Why the hell doesn't government cut its subsidies which has been the point has RBI been making recently. Just showing fabricated inflation figures wont cut it. I will be mightily surprised if this government makes it during next General Election. Just stripping the public every way possible.

Edit: Seems Jaipal Reddy ruled out any hike currently. Deferred by a week.

And i still say in my personal opinion we would have been better as a British Colony.:yahoo:

I have a Doubt. Every time they make a loss? Every year they make a loss? Why not Just Quit the business after clearing losses?

Because they will end up paying even more to foreign oil companies since we will be totally dependent on them. The oil being imported is currently in addition to the millions of barrels being produced in the country. That oil is not cheap and our production cannot cope with the demand. Besides, i think the oil produced here costs same as from outside or might be even more since quantity is far less than what the middle eastern countries can produce in a day. Either way, they're getting loss. Plus all the cross subsidies to lpg, kerosene, and diesel kills their margins too.

The loss is just a scam. There is no loss happening, it's only in the books. They basically launder all the profits through a third party which they own and claim loses from their original company for which the government(read the general public) pays for. We are basically paying them from both ends: As a consumer and as a tax payer.

I will Completely Agree with this. This is what i think!

Few years back, Arundhati Roy who is best known for the award-winning novel The God of Small Things (1997)

This novel became the biggest-selling book by a non-expatriate Indian author and won the 1998 Man Booker Prize for Fiction.

She was interviewed & asked about India's future, I clearly remember her saying that "INDIA WILL BECOME A POLICE STATE" if you say anything against the ruling party, you will be jailed & beaten up or picked up by them & your entire generation will be erased without a trace .................. we are already HALF WAY THROUGH.

CHOR BHI SARKAR, POLICE BHI SARKAR ........... WHY TALK ABOUT PRESIDENTS RULE, PRESIDENT IS ALSO A PUPPET OF THE GOVERNMENT.

Diesel prices increase by Rs.5/- whereas we will have to pay Rs.750/- or above per cylinder after using 6 cylinders in an year. All those politicians should be killed with a blast in the parliament...All bloody M**F***s

Every time Sonia Gandhi is back from some country after finishing so called medical checkups , there is either petrol or diesel hike.

lol i am already paying 1000 rs per cylinder for pvt gas agencies no biggie for me , nananana ..... my township getting piped gas too !!

** IMP POINTS **

Only 3 Cylinders would be provided @ subsidised rate for the current Fiscal year which would end on 31st March 2013.

For the next Fiscal Year (Apr 2013- Mar 2014) one would get 6 cylinders at subsidised rate according to this latest policy..

Also the price of such subsidised/non-subsidised cylinders would change every month depending on prevailing international prices.
