GPU prices are at their lowest in 15 months, could fall to ‘attractive’ level already in May

Been in discussion with some sellers and getting quite a range, maybe many are not aware of the gpu price crash.

market experts, wht is the ideal price range for used 3080 FE /AIB at this point in time.? Thanks.

Everyone is still thinking of fetching top dollar for the cards...but have seen AIB 3080 easily going for 60k with some occasionally found at 55k also.....but also depends on one's negotiating skills also.....a guy bought it for 47k too....but don't know how old it might have been....so there are many possibilities.....but i wud say 55k if you can haggle and get it down.

Founders Edition cards don't cool well like the AIB cards but can be got for very good prices right. But one can swap an aftermarket coolers to these FE cards right but this voids the warranty right.

During mining days only these FE cards which were sold by que system used to be the only options or need to shell out huge sums for AIB ones like I did. But nowadays cards like 6800xt or 3080s can be had for good prices if used ones are there while new ones come for somewhat premium prices.

How do they enforce this? Companies can say anything but according to consumer laws, I think warranty resides with the product and not with the owner.
What was happening in Erodov forum resulted in its demise because every month there used to be a certain number of dealers who used to sell 2nd hand products by showing their original receipts or receipts given by them not based on the products original manufacturing date there by making huge profits while I tried to do the same but could not even try to manage any funds for either procuring from the software companies like they used to do because I could not secure minimum amount even to sell here.
Just saying.

But here in TE forum there are some explicit sections like Dealers or Premium versions where they can sell as Dealers or 2nd hand products by specifying exactly.

I had a very bad experience in Erodov where a deal went wrong because of Market Section MODs miserlyness because of which I got banned three times and were restricted only to give suggestions or browse market sections by pleading with the Super MOD of that forum several times. That's why I am telling this here.

still not clear though...

If we buy a used gpu let's say which is 6 months old and has 2.5 yrs warranty left and it needs rma/service and the bill is in original owners name, will it be honoured or does the 2nd owner essentially has no warranty coverage.. ..?

No one enforces it. Just go to service center give gpu...show bill if asked otherwise they firstly do it via serial no. Only in most brand cases but some ask for bill. But no one asks for proof that it's your name on bill.

Almost all manufacturers (including Zotac) say that the warranty is not transferrable.

But I am yet to hear/see someone being denied warranty as long as bill is there (never seen any RMA service provider ask for any ID to match customer name and name on original bill)

If they wanted to, they would just ask you to log in using your PAN/Aadhar details while registering/purchasing product (/s)

All owners 2nd, 3rd... nth have full warranty coverage. No brand verifies if the user coming to the service center with a product under warranty is the original owner or not.
