Graphic Cards GPU pricing trends

Sapphire offers 2 years warranty while all others offers 3 years warranty
But MSI Mech2 RX6600XT is cheaper than the lot so I chose it.
There is nothing more choosing MSI over others.
If Gigabyte, Asus, Asrock RX6600XTs are cheaper then I would have gone with those but they are not.
msi is a good card. no issue with it. also what games are you planning to play ?

i mentioned the dual bios from mining pov.for nomal gamers avoid sapphire.Msi rma is bad though.

Do you think these big organizations are so stupid that they don't have anyway to identify bios was modded or not? There definitely is or else how would they run big businesses, this way everyone would be playing around bioses kaputing their GPUs and getting RMAs.
On software part if the flash has failed and no display they will never make it out and anyways software issues are covered under warranty so not a big issue! The primary step is to flash stock bio and check the working and they might hand over you the same card with rma tag or a new card and your card will go in another hand! And you can also be a recipient of such wrongly flashed but corrected gpu!
I know it first hand.
I'm not saying they can't know, I'm saying the service centre's don't distinguish between a modded BIOS. Stupid is what stupid does, big organization's or small enthusiast .
Correct!
Can a gpu record how many hours it was played or used for mining by service centers like some monitors show how many hours they are used.
Nop not at all! But only for stuff like HDD/storage, monitors etc.
I did some digging, below are my observations:
  1. The developer "Joined 3 days ago" on github.
  2. Their Youtube channel was created 5 days ago (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCEUdo9smU4NCP4GT3hc3Huw)
  3. Many redditors think that this is a scam.
It would be huge GPU market mover if it's not a scam.
There are already many LHR unlockers around ever since release of Ti cards!
A Google playstore app.
Don't want to specify.
Oh! Personal loan you mean..

Sounds like Navi.
Hadn't you mentioned that you're currently unemployed and with kids, taking loans out for a GPU doesn't sound like a wise decision in that case.
Yes but my wife is employed and I am a house husband.[emoji16][emoji1787]
I get some rents and my father's pension which is used for running the house and other portion for savings.

That's why I took a loan while I repay it back using my pocket money which is given to me apart for house expenses.

Why will you take a loan for depreciating asset?
I took a loan for small amount. I will repay it paisa to paisa.

I got my motherboard, my daughter's AIO printer, my phone by taking a loan from flipkart & Amazon.

Slowly I repaid all above loans without putting pressure on my parents and my wife.

My daughter's AIO printer was of great help during these covid lockdowns and online classes. She printed about a 1000 pages for her classes.

Consumer durable loans are usually for depreciating assets. Also if the load is interest-free then I'd much rather take such a loan and buy whatever I want knowing that I can already afford it (have full amount in savings to pay for it anytime).
The benefit to such loans is that your savings is earning interest or you can invest that money elsewhere while you pay your monthly EMIs interest-free.
Obviously I wouldn't recommend people do this unless they can't afford the item in the first place on day 0.

This most definitely can be done by having a persistent memory chip onboard. Like they know when you mine ETH the limiter kicks in on LHR. Why can't they know power-on hours the same way or how many times the LHR limiter kicked in on a card?
But doing this makes sense? Probably not.

That's what I was surprised to see people buying gpus worth lakhs of rupees here in these forums.

While I conducted my daughter's saree function and my house furniture which costed me 10lacs both for her gold and other things.

My father put a chit and repaying it back and it will end next August because we lost 6months of rents and other amenities were provided to those staying in that house which should have ended this year itself though.

The more I look into it the more it looks like a scam.
Crypto currency is itself a big scam man. I don't believe in it. It could adversely affect economies if they depend on it wholly or even partially.

That's why RBI isn't recognizing it as a means of exchange like it does with currency & gold bullion.

A country's wealth and economic stature cannot be built on such highly volatile assets and that's why this won't be a legal tender ever.
Our govt is just looking to gain profit from people who dare to invest in such schemes by imposing highest ever tax slab on it.

Well if they really wan to track such parameters they might already be having such tools in place. But I really doubt they will care for such small useless thing as they know it very well as long as mining is strong they are churning huge sums $$$ and the too they will never ever track the usage etc. stuff.
Remember just like how Hotspot temperature came in place where it was there already just that they hide it from us and eventually disclosed it for monitoring.

This discussion is going all over the place :P anyways. an item being asset or liability is a whole other realm so discussing it wont help.
