Just paid for these at mp4nation.

Although I really hate these folks for they screwed up my first order big time, I am just doing a leap of faith, the last time.

I just hope that these arrive on time.

I am sure this time they will reach you safe and sound. :)

Do let us know what you think of the M2s when you get them.

After hearing the M2's i'm really confused whether to get the Re0 / Re1 / M2.

Which one do you think i should get guys?

I will be using them while sleeping.

benny same boat as you! all 3 r great iems. if u want to use it unamped / m2 + (m2 for a fun pair most definately) balanced sound + killer build + awesome cable

re1 man.. what a iem.. the detail is just mental .. can give any iem a run for its money.. u know what im talkin about.. brendon's setup is a leathal weapon!

re0 - my least fav of the lot.. lol dunno just sounds too uninvolving for me.. (ive just heard it from a p3.. but its soo dry sounding.)

dont shoot me in the leg but did u try the re2.. it has really good sound running directly off any pmp. maintains the re sound.. detail + bass is all there, probably more bass then the re0 . ive not spent much time with either.. cept the m2 coz i manage to hear them @ all the audio meets lol .. i just forget everything once i put those on. though im equally impressed by the re2. thanks to saurabh :)

Why do I keep coming back to this section of the forum?Specially when I need to buy a laptop urgently.
Because of the Compulsive Spamming Disorder. Till the time a cure is out in the market, you'll have to live with it.

See, I am no expert, so actually couldn't give any "correct impressions". Still a few things the way my ears hear.
First these are very different IEMs. I believe if you like RE0 you will not like RE1 and vice versa. RE0 is detailed, analytical. It's colder and brighter. Highs are extremely detailed extended , more detailed than TripleFi. Bright IEM would mean it's a bit fatiguing.
It has "got bass". I would completely disagree with anyone who suggests these don't have bass. Of course, no big fat bass. But when amped bass is detailed, deep and punchy. Slight mid bass hump in some of the tracks.
mids are very detailed, but dry and analytical. Vocals are good but nothing great. soundstage unlike a few, I find it ordinary even amped.
RE1 is not detail oriented, it's about smooth lush mids. Vocals are very good, far better than RE0. After RE1 you would hate RE0 vocals. Violin, flute, saxophone, piano sound excellent. It has got good highs, better with my sparrow. It's dark definitely, but you don't need to search for highs. Perhaps, sparrow being hot in highs might help RE1, but frankly, I didn't find sparrow to be hot even with RE0. It has got excellent soundstage, width is great.
Bass is pretty good, better than RE0. It's tight controlled, deep and punchy, has got impact too when needed. It goes really low. But only when amped. I prefer RE1's bass to anything else I own, I believe it has got the right quantity. Some disagree. Dont expect loads of bass, it's not TripleFi.
Most importantly it's non fatiguing sound signature allows you to hear them for hours, unlike RE0 or TripleFi. And never expect any sibilance frome RE1. To me that's great as I am very sensitive to sibilance unlike many. None of my friends seem to be bothered with sibilance, not even with Hippo VB. :(

Personally I prefer cold, thin, bright IEMs, so my personal choice would be RE0. Only issue being vocals. I would definitely get something which would be great for vocals.

Why do I like RE2 a lot? I think it has got the right brightness. It's neither too bright nor dark, just right. It has got very good vocals, forward mids is what I personally like(inverted V). It has got "natural" bass to my ears. And yes, for it's price good soundstage too. Good clarity and details. Perhaps the right amount of brightness and very good at vocals seal the deal for me.
I listen to pretty ordinary music, mostly contemporary popular music, most often badly recorded. RE0 does get sibilant with these. RE2 doesn't, even when they actually are bright and has got forward mids. :) Hope this helps. :P

Hey,I was not spamming!
Well you are now :P

Nice review there haarakiri .RE 1 user here as well .Some @$$ here hates RE 1 big time .I guess he is the creator of this thread :P.Btw roomies ordered 3 M2's all thanks to Jim bean *cough*

...as re1 needs amping ...has anyone here tried them with maverick D1 ...i only have these for "good amp" ...although they do drive my akg's very well ....but sadly they didnt do will with TF10( .....i mean they did worse then most) ?

I think it's not D1's fault, TF10 doesn't work well with most amps and actually they don't require an amp. D1 is an excellent amp and should be good with RE1.

Thanx for that detailed review Haraakiri.

Will be getting an Re1 soon thnx to you :).

I wud've bought yours from the FS section but since i'm not in India it wouldn't make sense to get it shipped here when i can pick it up from Jaben. Plus it won't be fair to others if i bought it ;)

If you are buying from Jaben, you could audition these before buying right? That would be a great option. :) And don't blame TEians if after listeining to re1, you start to hate Triple.Fi mids.

I've got them and Benny can audition them with me if Jaben doesn't have them. Probably better to wait for the P51 mustang to arrive in about 2 weeks though

@Toxic - Dude, Benny is already getting the RE1s. I guess you should follow suit. :P

@Benny - Excellent choice ! While I like the M2s, they just aren't as good as the RE1s. The RE1s are perfect for sleeping thanks to their smooth sound and comfortable fit. Plus with the housing being made of plastic they are very light weight to boot.

Also I would not have pushed you for the RE1s earlier till I heard them from your Sflo. IMO it gives enough amplification for them and don't necessitate an amplifier. :)

The M2s while also sounding very nice have metal housings and it can start hurting your ears after some time.

@Harakiri - Thank you for your impressions. I always felt that the RE1 had better bass than the RE0 but since I had not heard the RE0s too much I did not argue with the OP about which had more bass. Thanks for confirming my suspicions on the RE1 having better bass. :)

@ bf1983 - !!!! i really want to get the RE1 !!! and ur no help in makin me save some cash!! :@

@ HK any easy installment facility available?? !!! hahaha

@ benny - killer choice! they r soo worth it! wish i couldve heard the sflo + re1 combo :(
