Do they get in touch with customer interested in getting their connection ? Its been a week since I filled the form and no contact yet :-/ ...
Even if they get in touch if the fiber wire is far from your house they just stop responding or the area technician guy asks you to pay the fiber cost till your house, this was happnd with me, he asked 5k to me, said its 800 meters from my house. lol

Hey did they upgrade for you?
This is insane. I got my connection done today and I opted for 649/- plan. 512 in day, 1Mbps in the night. I wonder why they didn't give me any information. Will try to get my plan moved tonight. This is great, IF IT WORKS.

I said no n called reliance they said sir no need to pay, n after that they stopped responding lol. Parents did not allow me to pay 5k.

They say it when they don't have lines/cables so that you don't inquire about the same thing again n again.

Stupid reliance, no response from them regarding installation at my place. Made phone call and sent email to. No one has bothered to acknowledge the emails

Reliance don't have wired connectivity in my area  ... This was the state 2 years before too, they don't want to grow their business or what ?

They don't.... They have sporadic connectivity even in the localities they are giving new connections to... I was refused connection since my house is ~150 mts away from their EDP... :annoyed:

Reliance customer service is not good. I am chasing them from last 2 weeks to take new broadband connection at my place in Noida, Sector 41. Does it take that long to even respond with a simple yes or no? I'm frustated!!

abhifusion , HailStonE , redhatperl and all others in the thread facing problems,

In case you guys would like to escalate the matter, give a call to Reliance Appellate authority: 18602002011, select 3 for english language, and then 2 for broadband, in the IVR. (you can use this facility for escalation of mobile/landline complaints as well, just select 1 instead of 2)

Make sure you have a previous cust-care complaint ID for which you seek an escalation. They are not 24x7 and work only from 9AM to 6PM on weekdays. However they do promise to solve your matter in 4 working days.

How is the reliance 2Mbps plan after everything is setup ? Good speeds and less downtime ? I am looking for broadband options for my place in Pune and i am not sure if Reliance is providing the connection or not (yet to ask) but still good to know how good the connectivity is.
good to know how good the connectivity is.

Edit: Called them up and gave my pin code, they say it is available but god knows whether it is available in my building or not. They said someone will call in 2 days but reading the stories here i am not expecting them to call. Also asked my friend here who is in different area and he has reliance and he says when it works it works but if some issue comes they take 5-7 days to solve and they need to be constantly pushed. This has scared me and i might not go with reliance even if they have UL non FUP plans.

Considering airtel but no idea about their service quality.

I had called them up in October. They checked the visibility via the pincode i supplied of my area in Noida and they said it's available. Since then i have not recd any call from their side.I too havent bothered and havent called them even once, as chasing them will only prove frustrating. Moreover its better that they get in touch with me than the other way round cuz i have heard lot many stories about reliance's 'fantastic' cc.

aasheet
, any updates ?

Guys I just raised a request for 2 connections, one at my parents' home in Kolkata and one for my place in Mumbai. The Thunder plans are wired plans, so which is the cheapest wi-fi router that I can pick up?

They said they'll revert in 48 hours.

Guys, looks like RCOM has decided to increase rates of all tariff plans by 131 INR:

The updated tariff plans are not yet up on their official website, so if you're planning to change your tariff plan, now's the time! I don't think existing subscribers will be affected by this price hike.

I'm from Pune and I'm on Reliance ADSL since 2+ years. Service is nice and speed is as promised. Downtimes are rare. Issues are usually resolved in a couple of days but sometimes you'll have to escalate them. Their Appellate office (1860-200-2011) works. If CC and the local technician neglect you, call up the Appellate office. They'll see to it that your issue is resolved. Overall Reliance is value for money. If money is not an issue for you, then I suggest you opt for airtel and stop contemplating Reliance. :)
My 2 Mbps (Thunder 699) tariff plan speedtest:

Edit: I just migrated back to the 4 Mbps tariff plan as 2 Mbps is not enough for me. :(

@iChaitanya, Those plans are with Taxes? Even though i add 8% Dot Fees to old plans. I don't Get that Exact amount mentioned above.
Seriously call that guy and find out.. why they increased?
