Guys, looks like RCOM has decided to increase rates of all tariff plans by 131 INR:
The updated tariff plans are not yet up on their official website, so if you're planning to change your tariff plan, now's the time! I don't think existing subscribers will be affected by this price hike.
How is the reliance 2Mbps plan after everything is setup ? Good speeds and less downtime ? I am looking for broadband options for my place in Pune and i am not sure if Reliance is providing the connection or not (yet to ask) but still good to know how good the connectivity is.
good to know how good the connectivity is.
Edit: Called them up and gave my pin code, they say it is available but god knows whether it is available in my building or not. They said someone will call in 2 days but reading the stories here i am not expecting them to call. Also asked my friend here who is in different area and he has reliance and he says when it works it works but if some issue comes they take 5-7 days to solve and they need to be constantly pushed. This has scared me and i might not go with reliance even if they have UL non FUP plans.
Considering airtel but no idea about their service quality.
I'm from Pune and I'm on Reliance ADSL since 2+ years. Service is nice and speed is as promised. Downtimes are rare. Issues are usually resolved in a couple of days but sometimes you'll have to escalate them. Their Appellate office (1860-200-2011) works. If CC and the local technician neglect you, call up the Appellate office. They'll see to it that your issue is resolved. Overall Reliance is value for money. If money is not an issue for you, then I suggest you opt for airtel and stop contemplating Reliance.
My 2 Mbps (Thunder 699) tariff plan speedtest:
Edit: I just migrated back to the 4 Mbps tariff plan as 2 Mbps is not enough for me.
