Re: Nokia 5800 XpressMusic Official Price Announced !!

well i got my hands on the phone yesterday, it really feels like an amazing device! my main concern was lack of physical keys, but after using it, thats not a problem anymore! the touchscreen is perfect, and the slight vibration works well! It almost feels like pressing buttons! i tried texting a bit, avid t9 user, and there's zero learning curve here! the t9 input method works perfectly! adding words, changing words, its all there!

Phone's perfect! but i'll be waiting for after release, i wanna buy the black color one, that will look more classy! :P

Thanx...that's great then. That's what I thought as well but the reason why I asked is coz I read the following in a review -
Unfortunately, there are no dedicated player control buttons which we were missing much. To switch tracks, you have to unblock the keypad and go all the way through the menus to reach the needed menu. FM radio is missing unlike with Nokia N79 and N85. Nokia 5800 scores an absolute leadership in the playback length test among all S60 smartphones. It can run playing as long as 34 hours before a full battery charge dwindles down to zero. N85 can only stand some 26-27 hours, - which is also great, - but the new touchscreen handset is the unquestioned leader.
Maybe I misunderstood something. :P
I'll put it in my wishlist now. :D

where did u get this from ?

- radio is 100% there ofcourse and mainly whoevers said that abt doesnt know symbian to the core...whats the damm menu button for ? if music is running in the background , keep the menu button pressed , running apps come up....(infact in the 5800 the option called - "Show open apps" is there in almost 'all' menus)......so press-hold , select and bang! ur into the player or whichever screen u went off from :S so definately no going thru "all the way thru the menus"

...or more simply, use the remote in the headset to stop music playback.
Now that gets me thinking.. what happens if the music player is not running in the background and I press the play button in the remote?? Music starts playing?? That will be a cool replacement to the dedicated music keys....
