guys any idea about the TDP of gtx 430 440 450 w
coz im planning to get a fsp sagaII 350w right now for my new rig w/o gfx card
and planning to get gtx 430 or 440

will it be under 100w i mean less than 5x series of ati
IMO just go for the 400w version which is just Rs.400 more than the 350w version. This would assure that u dont end up disappointed if the TDP ends up more than what u expect it to be. There is still no word on the GT 430/GT440.

Depends on ur budget an future upgrade plans. At this point even a FSP SAGAII 350w would suffice.

But going for a FSP SAGAII 400w ~ 2k/ Gigabyte Superb 460 ~ 2.2k/ Corsair CX400 ~ 2.7k will leave u headroom to add a decent GPU and couple more HDD's.

I am thinking of a 500-550W PSU .If I want to add a GFX Card Later.Which Model for 550W PSU?

Depends on which GPU u are planning to add. Whats ur budget.

A Corsair VX550~4.8k is more than enough for any GPU upto a HD5870.

Else a VX450~3.7k / Seasonic S12 II 520w~4.1k(Has only 3 yrs warranty)

Hi

My new rig will be bought soon. Not buying a GPU right now( after 5 months when prices fall).
Rough Configuration so far:

Processor-Athlon x3(430/435/440) OR Athlon X4 (630/35/40), depending on model availability.
Case-CM elite 310/430
PSU-VX450W.
Hard Drive- WD Caviar Blue 500gb
Ram-Corsair/Gskill 2x2gb ddr3.
Monitor - Benq/Samsung/Dell -20’ or 22’
Motherboard-GIGABYTE GA-MA785GMT-US2H or Gigabyte GA-880GM-UD2H

After reading alot of recommendation topics and seeing corsair 450 being mentioned, I've considered it. I like the 5year warranty too.
My only concern is that when I add a good GPU 4-5 months down the line (could be 5770,4850,gtx460,5850 or some well priced 6 series card) and an extra hardrive or 2, that I might be cutting it too close. 550 w corsair vx would push my budget too far(1200-1400 bucks more)

I see alot of members here and other places using FSP saga. Some saga 500w models are under 3k! For the same price of a Corsair 450 I would get much more headroom. They seem to have the 80+ rating too.

I just wanted some insight on this. Im very new to all this pc building stuff. I apologize if my info is wrong. Any one with experiences with both would be great. I don't want to be limited by my PSU when choosing a card a few months later.

Thanks.

I am planning to buy a PSU.

Can you guys help me choose between these

Corsair 850TX Power Supply - 7400

SeaSonic S12D-850W SMPS - 7150

Corsair 850HX Power Supply - 9450

SeaSonic M12D-850W SMPS - 9350

Need urgent help: PSU recommendation: Current PSU is dead.

Intel P4 3.0Ghz
Intel D101GGC- microATX
2GB DDR RAM
WD/Segate 500GB SATA
Sony DVD-writer SATA

Suggest PSU, not too expensive under 2k.

Any future upgrades: NO, will buy a laptop straight away when this config dies.
