Could u suggest PSU for:

Going to buy:

955 BE / Asus 785 V EVO (atx) / G skill Ripjaws 4gb / 22 or 24" monitor (mostly dell g2410 or Benq G2220 HD)/

Already Have:

EVGA 9800 GTX+

Budget.. not sure what's a good budget for a stable SMPS!

do i really NEED the vx 450? Cuz not gonna OC (at least for in the foreseeable future)

thanks in advance!

Seasonic 380W/CM RP460/FSP Blue Storm 500W etc are some good supplies that you should consider. A PSU with 80+ efficiency and a minimum of 24A on the +12V rail(s).

Don't consider the CX400 since it offers only a 3yr warranty as against the 5yr provided by the Seasonic 380W.

My CM 380W PSU may have crapped out on me. Any suggestions for the following config?

Core2Duo e8200 @ 3.2 GHz
P35 mobo
Ati 4850
2 internal HDDs
4 external HDDs
about 4 x 120mm Fans

Gigabyte Superb 460W + the options as stated above.

.
Is that really true? my dealer told me it has 3yr warranty when I purchased it

VX450 or Seasonic 430W would be a nice investment for your PC for 5 years
these two are high quality psu's, a small premium more than the CM and gigabyte is seriously worth it

There was no need to be so harsh. SS indeed offered 3 years ass on the model he mentioned SS 380W, in fact we had a long discussion on it one of the threads by Mohit Preet. Prime recently changed it to 5 years maybe realizing that newegg and SS direct already had 5 yrs ass on the same model from the day the psu was launched  Gaurish has the SS380 and recommends it to everyone so i don't think he can be wrong on it + I am 100% positive that the ASS on SS380 WAS 3 years by prime!

Follow up the older thread posts next time dude. It sometimes answers your question before you even have them

VX450 is much better!

Please suggest me a PSU under Rs.1K.....:(

Yes it has recently changed by Prime. Check my previous posts or go through prime site. It is indeed 5 now. I wonder how much u have now? Call and ask them. Ideally yours should also be increased from 3 to 5 yrs as SS has 5 yrs ass on these models internationally from the day this series was launched. :cool2::hap2:

The VX450 is not an OC supporting PSU. It is exact fitment for a power heavy GPU and a set up like yours. Get the VX450 -- all stories will end, regarding PSU -- for you. Sleep in peace.

No PSU officially supports OCING. he can sleep even more peacefully with a seasonic 380W as it is the original VX450, extremely efficient even at very low system loads (more than VX450) and now comes with 5 years warrantee.

^^

By 'supporting' I meant, that he can manage OC on it, comfortably. Of course not, OC support is stamped on it.

Yes, Rockfella, I know I wrote the above. Not denying that. Okay, sorry, if it will be understood to the literal sense. :) I meant what you quoted above.

Guys, could you behave like grown-ups instead of spamming like kids? Please take this one-to-one conv. outside the forum!
