^Lets hope they do. The stability issues suck. Right now, for a large monitor an X58 board and two 5850s makes the most sense. Only a fool would buy the 5970. Lets hope NVIDIA can keep their GTX 480s as cool as Cypress ;)

^What stability lol? We've had two 5970s, both running in a/c environs. Both crash with 3D apps, one every half and hour, the other every hour.

As I told Faheem, and I reiterate - they need amping, very badly. You can't use a 200$ amp to drive that load. The fact that they're not very sensitive also doesn't help. Try em with a WA6SE, you'll knock your self out trying to steal BF1983s pair :P
